PRIVATE TRIP
We are a company for private trips that accompanies clients who purchase our packages. We offer personal assistance in the case of a need such as a medical problem. We do not provide child care or other services not listed in the description on our website.
PLANNING PROCEDURE / SELECTING A TRIP
Following a client’s request by email, Private Trip will send a detailed summary of destinations, visits, and activities as well the cost of our services.
CANCELLATION POLICY
As a small company, we do not offer subscription-based insurance for cancellations.
Providing such a service would require additional fees and is currently beyond our capacity.
Please keep the following points in mind:
For One Day Tour:
*Booking Fees: Are non-refundable.
*Cancellations Made More Than One Month Before the Tour: Booking fees can be applied to a future booking at another time. *Cancellations made less than one Month Before the Tour: Booking fees are neither refundable nor transferable.
*Cancellations by Us: If we must cancel the tour due to safety concerns, such as severe weather, we will refund your booking fees in full.
For Multiple Days Tour (More than one day):
*Booking Fees: Are non-refundable.
*Cancellations Made More Than 3 Months Before the Tour: Booking fees can be applied to a future booking at another time.
*Cancellations made less than 3 Months Before the Tour: Booking fees are neither refundable nor transferable.
*Cancellations by Us: If we must cancel the tour due to safety concerns, such as severe weather, we will refund your booking fees in full.
CANCELLATION POLICY HIGHLIGHTS WITH PRIVATE TRIP FRANCE
• Early Notification:
Please inform us as early as possible if you need to cancel to avoid unnecessary costs and lost opportunities. (Please note that we are an independent small company, and we commit a driver/guide exclusively for your tour, reserving their entire day just for you)
• Financial Impact:
Understand that late cancellations have significant financial implications for our guides, especially due to accommodation bookings. (your guide often books accommodation in Paris the night before your tour to ensure an early pick-up, which incurs additional costs. A last-minute cancellation would also lead to a financial loss for the guide.)
• Respect for Time and Resources:
Your prompt decision helps us manage our resources efficiently and provide better service to all guests. (Therefore, if you are uncertain about attending the tour, we kindly ask that you do not keep the booking and to cancel as soon as possible to allow us the opportunity to accommodate other guests.)
By booking this tour, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions of our insurance coverage and cancellation policies. We appreciate your respect for our policy and look forward to providing you with an exceptional experience!
HAZARDS
Various hazards such as: slippery surface, low sealing, low light, steep stairs, strong winds and other hazards may occure wile on tour.
Private Trip takes no responsibility in a case of any accident that might occur on the trip and therefore it is everybody's own responsibility to take caution at all times while on the tour.
Private Trip highly recomments to every guest to verify his own international travel insurace before leaving his home country.
ACCOMMODATION & DINING
Accommodation and dinning is not included in price of our packages and therefore is at the guest’s expense. We will however book the restaurants and hotels that are selected as a convenience to our clients.
EUROPEAN CLIMATE & FOUR SEASON WEATHER
Private Trip is not responsible for weather conditions on the day of the tour. Weather conditions vary greatly depending on the season.
SPECIAL REQUEST
If there are any requests regarding special meals, dietary requirements, adjoining rooms and so on, please inform us when booking. Such requests are subject to confirmation, prices and availability as well as third party requirements.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that his/her international passport has a validity of at least 7 months prior to the date of departure and has at least four blank pages side by side. Certain visas may be required. Cancellation charges apply for any cancellation due to problems with any of the above mentioned requirements.
COMPLAINTS/CLAIMS
Any complaint/claim must be made in writing within two weeks after services have been rendered. No responsibility is accepted in respect to any complaint/claim not made in that manner.
PARTICIPATION
For the benefit of everyone on your trip, we reserve the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and to remove him or her from the tour if we decide that the participant’s behavior is inappropriate . We will not refund nor cover any costs or expenses you incur if we have to terminate your tour arrangements due to unacceptable behaviour.
SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed on transportation provided by Private Trip. Many hotels in France and Europe have imposed a 100% non-smoking policy and many cities have imposed non-smoking regulations in public spaces. As a standard rule, we only confirms non-smoking hotel rooms.
If you require a smoking room a request may be submitted, but we cannot guarantee the availability.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
During local or national public holidays, certain facilities such as museums, restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or not available. We are not responsible for closures for any reason. Alternatives will be offered whenever possible.
EFFECTIVE DATE AND CHANGES
All of the above-mentioned policies are effective as of March 20, 2013. Pivate Trip reserves the right to modify the terms of this policy at any time and at our sole discretion, by posting a change notice to this page. Your continued use of the site following our posting of a change notice will constitute binding acceptance of those changes.
