PROPOSED ITINERARY DAY ONE
8:00am depart | Direct pick up from your accommodation in Paris |
Pegasus Bridge | Very first operation on D-day. A pilgrimage place know from the movie The Longest Day "Hold until relieved" |
British Commonwealth cemetery | Some of the very first casualties of D-Day |
Artifitial port Arromanches | Known as "Port Winston Churchill or Mullberry" it was the prime port to get the soldiers and the equipment from England to France |
Longues sur Mer | German coastal artillery position. Its observation served as the model bunker for the movie "The Longest Day" |
Port en Bessin | Stop at a picturesque fisherman village known for the operation PLUTO (pipelines for petrol) |
Omaha Beach | German defense position wn62 |

US Airborne sector | Various stops around the sited where the 82nd & 101st Airborn were droped on the 6th June '44 - Angoville eu Plain: Church where two US Para medics established an aid station - Saint Marie du Mont: Objective of 101st Airborne (Band of Brothers) - Saint Mere Eglise: Famous tow and the objective of the 82nd Airborne |
Atlantic Wall | Remains of many German defence bunkers along the coast nicknamed the "Atlantic Wall" |
Utah Beach | Landing zone of the 4th Div. led by Theodore Roosevelt Jr. |
Pointe du Hoc | One of the most impressive site in the whole Normandy. Remains of German bunkers, bomb craters left after heavy allied bombing accompanied by a heroic story of 225 Rangers |

Your guide will take on the beach where he will explain to you the functionality of the German defence system, the Allied preparation and the actions from the 6th of June 1944. (walking the beach possible depending on the tide) |

Battles of the hedgerows | Various stops at the sites continuing the difficult progress of US Army through the Normandy countryside |
Stop at St Lo | At the city St Lo, which known also as the "City of Martyrs" you will be still able to sightsee some damage done to this town by the massive Allied bombardment |
Mortain | Learn about the epic stand of the US 30st Div that hold off German SS Div for almost a week |
Scenic route through French countryside | Lunch in the car - stop for fresh sandwiches |
Battlefields of the Falaise gap | Learn about the Falaise gap and about the destruction that hapened there |
Montormel | Area where the German army got encircled by the Allies. Visitor center, movie and museum dedicated to the Falaise gap battles |
Vimoutier Tiger tank | One of only six left in the world (outdoor sightseeing) |
